About Us

Hi there, I’m Jennifer — I am “us”! A middle school librarian by profession, I’ve also been a long time rare & collectible book collector, scout, & online seller. In 2021, after following & engaging with vintage paperback aficionados on what was then Twitter, I realized there was an underserved nostalgia for vintage romance cover illustrations & I started the @artoftheclinch account to remedy that. It has since branched out to Threads & BlueSky. In the process of sharing covers, I discovered rare & collectible romance as another relatively new & burgeoning angle, & I’ve been fascinated by it even since. I started this website as much to engage my own curiosity as to provide a service to romance & book collectors through my research & by providing a central place of access for the other wonderful collectible romance content sprinkled across the internet & beyond.
