Enter to win a coveted 1985 hardcover copy of Johanna Lindsey’s Tender Is The Storm with the infamous & very fun illustration by Robert McGinnis (valued at approximately $30) & sign up for the newsletter, which will keep you in the loop about all that’s new on this site & in the world of romance collecting! This is a great copy with only a small amount of wear on the back & front corners, as shown in photos below. As a bonus, the dust jacket is in a mylar protective sleeve, which you can see in the featured photo above & in the last photo below. This is the same type of jacket protector you find on library books, however, with collectible books, no tape or other fasteners attach the protector to the dust jacket. You can easily remove the dust jacket from the protector for any reason & it won’t be damaged.

  4. I certainly remember this one from its paperback days! I think I was lucky to have caught at least part of the heyday of romance covers in the mid-80s into the early 90s working at Waldenbooks.

  22. I think this is one of my favorite covers of hers. There was an older woman who was a librarian at my church and we shared our love of Johanna Lindsey. I was in my early 20’s and she was well in her 60 or so, but loved her bondage rippers. It was our little secret that even her own daughters had no clue about until I shared at her memorial service. I was so honored to share this love with her.

    I have ten books by Johanna Lindsey, all of them are mass market paperback with stepback art included inside. But none of them are this iconic one with art by the legendary Robert McGinnis! I would love to have this to be added to my Johanna Lindsey Collection !
